Are you a morning person or a night owl?
I’m definitely a morning person. I love to get up before the sun and watch it rise. If the sun is up, I’m up.
Tea or coffee drinker?
Tea! Milk tea when I’m being fancy.
We’re food lovers - name a dish you love. We love a recipe share too!
One of my favorite activities in life is to eat! A dish I love is one my mom makes on special occasions. It’s called Chiles Rellenos which translates to “Stuffed Chiles.” They can be stuffed with a number of different meats and veggies but my absolute favorite is when they’re stuffed with cheese. It’s also coated in egg white batter, fried, and served in a tomato sauce. There’s tons of videos online on how to make them, and they’re super yummy!
What is the best advice you have ever received? What’s the worst?
The best advice I’ve ever received- Everything in life has a solution, except death. My mom would say this a lot in Spanish and I repeat it often to myself, especially when life gets tough.
The worst advice I’ve ever gotten was to be passive about serious issues and to “not get involved”. I can’t turn a blind eye when there’s something unjust happening.
Our first collection was named after streets we’ve lived on and loved. What’s a street or city you’ve loved and why?
The street I grew up on was called Sweetbriar Dr. It will always be special to me because the years I lived there were the absolute best years of my life. I had such an amazing childhood and so it remains a very special street to me.
What are you listening to lately?
I’ve recently moved, and found a bunch of my old CD’s so I’ve been listening to a lot of my old burned CD’s while driving. It’s been fun and nostalgic- primarily a lot of Spanish rock. If it isn’t Spanish rock, it’s reggaetón! The up-beat music has been getting me through these tough times. But I’m excited to discover the amazing podcasts Noyette has been praising!
Whose style inspires you?
There’s not one specific style that I’m inspired by nor have I found my fashion icon. I loved the 30’s, 40’s, and 50’s fashion in general. But mostly I’m inspired by street fashion. I really like to see how one item can be worn many different ways. Fashion is meant to be fun, so the mixing and matching is always refreshing to see.
What are you watching or seen lately that you loved?
Lately I’ve been watching a lot of TV sitcoms. Fresh Prince of Bel Air, Friends, Seinfeld, The Office just to name a few. Some I never watched from beginning to end so the episodes are new to me, and others are nostalgic so they’re comforting (and still funny). They put a smile on my face :)
What’s inspiring you lately?
My roses. I inherited a couple rose bushes in the back patio of the apartment I moved into. I had never cared for roses before so this has been a completely but rewarding new experience. I began shoot them with my SX-70 Polaroid camera, and before I knew it I had an ongoing series. They take up a lot of my time, but it has been cathartic.
Who should we be following?
@parisinfourmonths on Instagram. I don’t follow many influencers, but Carin Olsson invites us into her life and it is such a cool journey to experience from the other side of the screen. She’s a photographer living in Paris, France and works with many well-known brands out there. Usually get an inside glimpse of fashion week, behind-the-scenes on shoots or projects, and just everyday life in Paris. And she’s very down to earth so it makes it easy to connect with her personal posts as well.
What’s an upcoming project you are excited about?
’m about to do a small shoot up north to create content for a new company started up by two very intelligent and talented women. They’re getting ready to launch and I’m glad to be a part of their new venture!

I’m a nerd at heart. I’ll part with one of my most favorite book quotes from one of my most favorite stories (you don’t have to share this lol):

That meant something.
Even if you were too small to understand why.
But I think, Mr. Frodo, I do understand.
I know now.
Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back only they didn’t.
